Environmentally friendly packaging.
The EUROPE 2030 Agenda has established a series of measures that will be mandatory in the coming years, with the aim of reducing the use of plastic materials that are not recyclable or compostable.
In our desire to promote and defend care for the environment, we research and develop, together with our suppliers, a series of products specially designed so that at the end of their useful life, they can be recycled or reincorporated into the environment through natural composting.
2025
Reciclado de envases plásticos de al menos el 50%
2030
El 100% de los envases plásticos deberán ser reutilizables, reciclables o compostables
Why are we opting for biodegradable packaging?.
More than 8,000 tonnes of plastic waste is generated worldwide every year, of which only 9% is recycled, 12% is incinerated and 79% accumulates in landfills.
Plastic is a material that takes a long time to decompose, as it is very slow to decompose in nature. By way of summary, we can clarify that, in reality, depending on the type of plastic, it takes between 100 and 1000 years to decompose, with an average of 500 years.
Taking into account the average degradation time and the current difficulty in separating and recycling plastic packaging, we are convinced that the real alternative is to promote the use of sustainable materials such as biodegradable and compostable materials.
Our Ecofriendly commitment.
We promote the use of raw materials of vegetable origin that can be reused, recycled or converted into natural fertiliser at the end of their useful life.
Natural virgin fibre paper is our star material. Cellulose is extracted from wood from controlled felling in forests and is used to make both paper and cardboard, one of the most widely used renewable resources in the packaging market.
Bagasse is the residue left over after the extraction of sugar cane juice. This natural residue contains a large amount of fibres that can be used to produce paper.
PLA is made from corn starch and is one of the most widely used biopolymers as an alternative to conventional plastics due to its versatility and properties.
Some plastics such as polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene terephthalate (PET) are recyclable and can have a second life. Although they are plastic materials made from fossil fuels, they have a smaller footprint on the environment.
To develop and launch Eco Responsible packaging on the market.
With more than 25 years of experience in the food packaging sector, we are manufacturers of most of the products we have in our eccommerce. We collaborate with suppliers who respect the environment and promote the purchase of their products through our portal, seeking to offer sustainable alternatives to traditional packaging.
We are constantly innovating and looking for new and greener packaging solutions for our customers.
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
The road to sustainability is not just about reducing, recycling and reusing. We must change the "Linear Economy" model to a "Circular Economy" model where resources are reused.
REDUCING THE ENERGY FOOTPRINT OF OUR FACILITIES
We recycle and classify our waste, reduce our energy consumption and try to reduce the waste of raw materials during our production process.
ECO-FRIENDLY SUPPLIERS
We favour suppliers who respect the environment. We favour the purchase of natural and sustainable products as well as suppliers who are committed to sustainable development.
FAVOURING ECO-FRIENDLY COMMUNICATION TOOLS
We direct our customers to our online catalogue and our website instead of our physical catalogue. We develop and optimise our website for easy, fast and secure shopping.
